46 years of history

The University of the Humanities was originally established in 1979 as the Institute of Russian Language under the National University of Mongolia. It currently aims to become an internationally recognised and competitive institution in education and science, serving as Mongolia's leading research and training university.


With a strategic vision to become a leading teaching and research university in Mongolia, the institution aspires to achieve academic excellence, scientific innovation, and international recognition.


Over the course of its development, the university has successfully conferred degrees upon 22,319 bachelor's graduates, 6,105 master's graduates, and 121 doctoral degree holders.

Instruction is designed to accommodate individual learner characteristics, with the objective of identifying and fostering each student's unique potential and capabilities.

Implementation

During the 2024–2025 academic year, a total of 149 faculty and staff members are actively engaged in collaborative research activities, while over 50 academic programs are being delivered through in-person instruction to 3,010 undergraduate students, 383 master's students, and 32 doctoral candidates.
